The Morning After

This link (click HERE) tells the story of Steve Politi, a reporter for the New Jersey Star-Ledger and NJ.com, winning the press lottery to play Augusta National the Monday following the 2018 Masters tournament. As an aside, the Star-Ledger is the same morning publication that, as kids, my brother and I would wage war over in the driveway for the rights to read the sports section during breakfast.

Steve’s article reminds me of Maureen McGovern’s 1972 smash hit “The Morning After”, the theme to The Poseidon Adventure; the story of a luxury liner’s ill-fated final passage from New York City to Athens.
